BOTSWANA - NATIONAL MULTI-MODAL TRANSPORT MASTER PLAN
Republic of Botswana
Aviotec International is part of a CPCS Transcom led team contracted by the Republic of Botswana to develop a National Multi-Modal Transport Master Plan. The project is funded and facilitated by the World Bank.
The project will cover all transport modes and aim to promote better integration across the various transport subsectors with other economic sectors and promote regionalization. The resulting Master Plan will aid the government in modernization of the transport sector.
Aviotec's role will encompass the aviation sector and will include the preparation of aviation traffic forecasts, airport infrastructure assessments, ICAO compliance reviews, capital development plans and implementation plans for 12 key airports in the country, including Gaborone's Sir Seretse Khama International Airport. The Plan will present an overall National Airports Strategy and address strategies for the sustainability of the flag carrier (Air Botswana) and a proposed new Cargo Village.
The project will be completed in late 2016.
