Aviotec - Facility & Operational Assessment for Caribbean Airlines - Piarco International Airpor
Aviotec International was commissioned by Caribbean Airlines initially to undertake a facility and operational assessment of their network hub at Piarco International Airport in Port of Spain, Trinidad.
The assessment is a precursor to a broader scoped project aimed at improving the efficiency of their main hub, reducing passenger transiting times, improving customer experience and growing passenger traffic at the hub. Additional, a key objective is to improve the overall efficiency and experience of the shuttle flights to Tobago, which are scheduled every 30 to 60 minutes during most of the day.

The assessment includes a functional review of the terminal spaces (public and back-of-house), all major passenger processes (check-in, security screening, customs and immigration, baggage claim, etc.), and the aircraft apron operations. Areas of particular focus will be domestic (Tobago) standby check-in and holdroom congestion, customs clearance processing and recheck for transiting passengers, aircraft turn-around times and Tobago shuttle operations.
